Rain likely to dampen Diwali and new year day in Gujarat at some places even though cyclonic storm in Arabian sea moves away

Gandhinagar: Even as the cyclonic storm ‘KYARR’ in the east central Arabian sea is moving away from Gujarat coast, the Diwali and Gujarat new year day in some parts of Gujarat is likely to see some amount of non-seasonal rain.
According to the met bulletin issued this evening Light rain/ thundershowers were very likely at isolated places in the district of South Gujarat region namely Tapi, Surat, Valsad, Navsari and in the adjoining union territory of Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Amreli, Gir Somnath, Bhavnagar and in the nearby UT of Diu on Diwali day ie October 27.
On the next day ie Gujarati new year day light rain/ thundershowers were very likely at isolated places in the district of South Gujarat region namely Valsad, Navsari and in the UT of Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Dwarka, Porbandar and in Diu.
Light to moderate rain at isolated places in the state would take place today and the next four days also.
