Opportunist Hardik faces ire of agitating students, virtually pushed out of venue with ‘go-back’ slogans

Gandhinagar: Congress leader and former PAAS convener Hardik Patel, known for his opportunistic politics had to face embarrassment due to strong opposition from the agitating students/aspirants of non-secretariat clerk exam of GSSSB board.
Hardik who in the past had also tried to grab credit by reaching the venues of various anti-government agitations, reached the students agitation site near Karmyogi bhavan here also.
But after sometime the students started shouting Hardik go back. He along with some of his supporters from PAAS were virtually pushed out of the venue.
An obviously embarrassed Hardik blamed it on the government and right wing students outfit ABVP.
While pushed out of the venue Hardik said that he would continue to support the students and what has happened to him was with the support of the government and by members of ABVP.
Notably, the aspirants from across the state were holding demonstration here demanding scrapping of the November 17 exam in which according to them large scale malpractice was done. Over 10 lakh aspirants had appeared in the exam to select around 4000 clerks and assistants.
Congress has openly supported the agitation while ruling BJP has alleged that the opposition party was trying to mislead the students.
Congress state president Amit Chavda and NCP leader and former chief minister Shankarsinh Vaghela also visited the venue to support the students who claim their agitation to be totally apolitical.
