Army Chief visits strategically important Rann and Creek areas in Gujarat bordering Pakistan

Bhuj:Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane today visited strategically important Rann and Creek areas in Kutch district of Gujarat adjoining Pakistan.
He also visited the Bhuj Military station.
The Defence Spokesperson said that the Chief of Army Staff visited Bhuj Military Station and also Rann and Creek areas today.
‘The Army Chief was briefed on the operational readiness and military preparedness of the formations and units in location and the employment of various new generation equipment being used by the security forces in the Rann of Kutch. He also reviewed the administrative wellbeing of all military personnel and interacted with personnel of BSF and Indian Coast Guard also,’ he said.
‘General Naravane, while interacting with troops of Army and Border Security Forces deployed in the forward areas complimented them for their selfless dedication to duty while safeguarding the National Borders braving various vagaries of weather and terrain in the remote and arduous Rann and creek regions,’ he said.
