CR Patil meets PM Narendra Modi, HM Amit Shah in Delhi; yesterday he had called on Keshubhai Patel

New Delhi: Newly appointed president of Gujarat unit of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Lok Sabha member from Navsari Lok Sabha seat in South Gujarat, CR Patil today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has been Patil’s mentor as well. The meeting took place at Prime Minister’s Residence on Lok Kalyan Marg (7LKM). Patil on micro-blogging site Twitter mentioned in Gujarati script that he met honorable PM Shri Narendra Modi saheb in person to seek his blessings and guidance. Patil further said in his tweet that he assured PM Modi to further strengthen the organization of BJP.

PM Modi in his tweet said: Met Gujarat BJP President Shri CR Patil Ji. Hailing from a humble background, he rose the ranks in the Party and distinguished himself as an outstanding Karyakarta. His work as MP has also been appreciated. I am sure, under his leadership the Gujarat BJP will scale newer heights.

Patil has in an interview said that he left police job and joined BJP in 1989 on invitation of Shri Narendra Modi. Patil, a 65 year old Surat strongman has been PM’s taskmaster. PM had assigned him job to develop the villages adopted by him as Lok Sabha member representing Varanasi. Patil had completed the task successfully. When complains were regular regarding allotment of Government residences in Delhi to newly elected members of parliament, PM assigned Patil to do the job of housing allotment. Patil came with a system through which all MPs were satisfied.

Patil during his Delhi visit also met with union Home minister Amit Shah who tweeted:Conveyed compliments to newly appointed chief of Gujarat BJP on his installation. I am sure, under his leadership,Gujarat BJP organization will strengthen further and form government with clear majority once again.

It’s worth noting that Gujarat is going to witness next general elections of assembly in year 2022.



Yesterday Patil had called on former Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel and sought his blessings.
