Works on Bhadbhut barrage project kick off

Gandhinagar: Works for Bhadbhut barrage project have kicked off today, said Gujarat government statement.
The statement said: The project once completed will offer potable water to areas located on the bank of river Narmada including Bharuch and Ankleshwar. Bhadbhut barrage will also offer water for irrigation and for industries. The project will also prevent further spread of salinity.
The project once completed will offer 21,000 MCFT water. A 6 lane bridge which is part of this project will reduce distance between Hazira and Dahej by 18 km. It will also create a separate channel for fishing.
The project has been taken up by Kalpsar department of State government. Works for Bhadbhut project were kicked off by State Chief Minister through video conference.
