Indian Coast Guard recovers narcos near Jakhau harbour

Bhuj: On 20 Oct 20, Interceptor Craft IC-125 of Indian Coast Guard Station Jakhau while carrying out surveillance sortie in designated area off Kadiyari Bet (near Jakhau Harbour) located and recovered five (05) packets of approximately 01 Kg each containing Narcotics substance.
The preliminary sample testing of contents of packets indicated substance as “Charas” amounting to approximately Rs. 07 lakhs as per prevailing market value.
This is in continuation of numerous such operations undertaken and carried out successfully in recent past in area of responsibility of ICGS Jakhau which had resulted in seizure of narcotics substance worth Rs. 303 lakhs.
This is in pursuance of entrusted charter of duties with Indian Coast Guard the assets are being deployed on 24X7 basis at sea as well as in air to maintain effective surveillance at coastal/ maritime borders of the country.
