AMC gives name to Parimal underbridge; announces incentives in property tax

Ahmedabad: The Standing Committee meeting of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC), the last such meeting of present five-year term of elected wing, today decided to rename city’s Parimal underpass after former later Speaker of Gujarat Assembly, Dhirubhai Shah.
The meeting decided to extend the existing property tax incentive rebate scheme to 31 January 2021 and also took decision to give 100 per cent relief in pending payment of property tax in case of chawl and slum units, 70 per cent relief in pending payment of property tax for rest of all residential units and 50 percent relief in case of all non residential properties.
According to Chairman, Amul Bhatt, the meeting fixed Rs. 15,000 rent for revamped Lalakaka community hall in Shahpur area and Rs. 75,000 rent for only use of its ground floor.
