More oxygen beds to be added in Mahesana district, Zydus to start covid hospital: Nitin Patel

Mahesana: Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, Nitin Patel today said that the administration is emphasising on increase in oxygen beds.
He said Zydus hospitals will at Bechraji start operation of its new hospital for Covid patients.
Patel said 133 beds are vacant in Mahesana district at present, but not a single Oxygen attached bed is available.
Sharing the details of new oxygen beds planned, Nitin Patel said, Vasant Prabha hospital will have 50 beds, Jivan Dhara hospital run by trust will have 37 beds, Visnagar government hospital will have 20 beds, government run mental hospital in civil campus will have 27 beds, Bechraji based CHC will have 10 beds, Vijapur based Arsh hospital will have 25 beds, Bhandu based Nursing college (25 oxygen beds, 25 non oxygen beds), another nursing college near Visnagar will also have beds. Kadi based Bhagyoday hospital will admit government allotted patients, cost of whom will be beared by the government. Kadi will have covid centre at VIvekakand college hall. 30 patients are already admitted there.
Patel said at present 1434 beds at vadnagar medical college, visnagar nutan medical college, mahesana civil hospital, sai krishna hospital, Lions hospital, kadi Bhagyoday trust hospital, private hosptials and unjha, visnagar, kadi etc sub district hospitals are available.
Patel said, the government has signed memorandum of understanding with various private hospitals of the district.
Patel said all market yards are requested that covid care centres be started in each town. The government provides masks for Re. 1, so all municipalities and market yards should purchase these three-layer masks and offer to citizens for better protection. The orders have been given by them in response to this appeal. Kadi nagrik sahkari bank distributed 20,000 such masks for free couple of days ago.
