Two Satellite COVID hospitals in Vadodara to add 1500 Covid beds

Vadodara: Two satellite COVID hospitals in Vadodara, one at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Atladra and another at Samras Hostel will together add total 1500 beds capacity for the COVID-19 patients in attempt to reduce the burden on government hospitals.
City based Samras Hostel has been converted into satellite hospital under Sayaji Hospital with 1,000 beds capacity, out of which 400 beds are made functional in the first phase and the process of admitting the patients has started. Total 1,000 beds planned include 650 oxygen beds, 50 ICU beds and 300 non-oxygen beds. Facilities such as oxygen tank, oxygen pipeline and vaporizer unit are also errected in this satellite hospital at Samras hostel.
Moreover, 500 beds COVID hospital already started at Yagnapurush hall of BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Atladra is now functioning as satellite hospital under GMERS Gotri Hospital in the city with oxygen facility. There are plans also for starting the ventilator and ICU facility here. Total 134 patients were hospitalized here as of Friday, out of which 23 were recovered and discharged. DeshGujarat
