Surat Collector announces process to get Remdesivir for patients in private hospitals

Surat: The district collector of Surat, Dr. Dhaval Patel has today announced new system to distribute Remdesivir injections for needy patients admitted in private hospitals.
The district collector in his order for Surat city and Choryashi taluka said that in order to ensure rational distribution for very needy patients, the existing first come basis distribution at new civil hospital has been discontinued. In the present system, when stock is over, some hospitals don’t get Remdesivir. Also some hospitals instead of their staffers, tend to sent relatives of patients to collect the injections.
In the new system, private hospitals will need to sent indent with specified details from hospitals’ official email id to specified email address. Indent form has to be in PDF format with sign and stamp of nodal officer of the hospital. The details of patient should be in excel sheet format. Wrong and insufficient forms will not be considered. Also the email received from email id other than the official email id of the hospital will not be considered. Email received after 12 noon will not be considered. Request mail needs to have indent from doctor. It must have mobile number of doctor and nodal officer.
The decision of allotment of injections will be taken on prorata basis and a copy of decision for allotment will be sent through email by 5 pm after scrutiny. Serious patients will be given priority in allotment. During 5 to 8 pm, a person officiated by the hospital will visit the new civil hospital and submit allotment letter’s copy, authority letter, id card of patient, aadhar card of patient, covid positive report, and documents with sign and stamp at Civil hospital’s window number 7.
