Sabarmati: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) run Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Science (SVP hospital) today in a statement clarified that the details circulating through a video clip on social media platforms is misleading and far from truth.

SVP in a note said, a video claims that the sixth floor of SVP hospital has been kept reserved only for VIP persons and the admissions of patients are denied even if there are beds available on this floor.

Rejecting the claim in the video, SVP in a statement stated that the sixth floor is reserved for covid infected pregnant ladies and children, as there are Gynaec operation theaters, pediatric ICU and neonatal ward ICU located there. SVP has done 330 deliveries and treatment of 1565 Gynaec and pediatric patients during covid19 pandemic since March 2020, a note added. DeshGujarat
