Fire Department of AMC conducts training on fire-prevention for the hospitals

Ahmedabad: Fire and Emergency Services Department of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) conducted training on preventing fire-incidents in the hospitals covering more than 150 hospitals situated within the area of AMC during the last 4 days.
The training was regarding how to use the fire-fighting system, how to immediately rescue the patients in case of fire-accidents and what to do on a priority basis if leakage in oxygen plants or cylinder banks occurs at the hospitals.
The doctors and other employees of the hospitals were instructed to always keep the fire-fighting system, fire extinguisher, manual call points and smoke detectors fitted in the hospitals in working condition. Further training regarding such matters will be also conducted by Fire and Emergency Officers and employees of Ahmedabad from time to time.
Necessary instructions were given to all the hospitals regarding conducting regular services of the electrical equipment installed in the hospitals such as AC, ventilators and medical devices, not keeping the electric wiring loose and not storing the flammable liquids in the hospitals, as informed in the press-note. All the COVID-19 hospitals were instructed to keep all the fire-fighting devices in working condition during the training.
