PM Modi to observe Rajkot Light House Project via video

Rajkot: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will observe the Light House Project (LHP) of Rajkot through drone camera and have conversation with the officers of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) through Video Conference on Friday, 25th June 2021 regarding the same. Under this project, 4 flats are being constructed within 3 days and 1144 accommodations are to be constructed within a year in Raiya Smart City Area in Rajkot.
The ‘Bhumipujan’ for this project was performed by PM Modi on 21st January 2021 and it was declared that its inauguration will be held on 26th January 2022. Box Jacking or Tunnel Framework method and French technology is used for speedy construction of the flats. The estimated cost of this project is Rs. 118 crores and each accommodation will be provided at a cost of 3.50 lakhs.
LHPs are model housing projects with houses built with shortlisted alternate technology suitable to the geo-climatic and hazard conditions of the region. This will demonstrate and deliver ready to live houses with speed, economy and with better quality of construction in a sustainable manner, as mentioned on the website of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. LHPs are being constructed at six different locations in six states across India which includes Indore- Madhya Pradesh, Rajkot- Gujarat, Chennai- Tamil Nadu, Ranchi- Jharkhand, Agartala- Tripura and Lucknow Uttar Pradesh.
