June 26, 2021
Ahmedabad: A group of Congress leaders who met at former leader of opposition Naresh Rawal’s residence couple of days ago in the city have now demanded that Shaktisinh Gohil, Arjun Modhwadia, Bharatsinh Solanki or Siddharth Patel should not be made the next Gujarat Congress chief, as the party couldn’t win the elections under their leadership in the past. A group of Congress leaders has decided three-name panels for the post of the President and Leader of Opposition. The leaders of this group have decided that if asked they will propose Jagdish Thakor, Naran Rathwa and Naresh Rawal’s names for the post of Gujarat Congress chief and the names of Shailesh Parmar, Virji Thummar and Punjabhai Vansh for the post of leader of opposition.
