Gujarat NCC cadets send 30,000 cards to Kargil

Gandhinagar: Gujarat NCC cadets have prepared 30,000 cards in the memory of the martyrs. The cards will be sent to the headquarter of Northern Command in Udhampur through the medium of western railway. Group Commander Brigadier Nirav Raizada of Gujarat NCC group headquarters is executing the process of sending the cards to Udhampur through Ahmedabad to Jammu train departing from Ahmedabad on 18th July.
The cards are prepared as a part of 5th phase of the campaign #EkMaiSauKeLiye started by CM Vijaybhai Rupani on 3rd July under the title ‘Kargil Ke viro Ko Gujarat Ka Aabhar’ regarding 22nd anniversary of Kargil war victory.
The cards will be distributed to the soldiers appointed in Kargil region from 21st to 25th July.
This initiative will help to show gratitude to the soldiers on behalf of the citizens of Gujarat. Kargil war between India and Pakistan took place from May to July, 1999 on Line of Control in Kargil region of Kashmir. Indian Army had achieved victory and occupied Tiger Hill and other posts by Operation Vijay. On the 22nd Kargil Vijay Divas on 26th July 2021, bouquets from NCC cadets in Gujarat will be delivered to the martyrs at Kargil war memorial in Dras. DeshGujarat
