Iconic foot-over bridge over river Sabarmati likely to be commissioned next December

Ahmedabad: The iconic new Foot-over Bridge across river Sabarmati, presently under construction is likely to open for public in the month of December this year.
City Municipal Commissioner Shri Mukesh Kumar said this adding that the erection of structure for the Foot Over Bridge project has been completed.
Listing out the remaining works on this project, the Municipal Commissioner said the works including floor deck slab, flooring, approach on both banks, tensile fabric work of roof and colour remain to be completed.
The Kite Themed Foot-over bridge will enable people to walk and even cycle and connect the East and West Side of the city while enjoying the panoramic view of the river. The length of the bridge is around 300 meters and width is 10 to 14 meters.
Proposed bridge will come up between Gandhi bridge and Vivekanand bridge connecting Paldi and Jamapur areas of western and eastern bank of river Sabarmati. DeshGujarat
