AMC preparing for possibility of 3rd wave of Covid pandemic

Ahmedabad: Considering the possibility of 3rd wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided to upgrade the CNG furnaces at the AMC run crematoriums in the city and develop the medical infrastructures at the SVP Hospital.
The Road and Buildings committee of AMC has approved the proposal for allotment of works for upgrading CNG furnaces and their maintenance and operations for 3 years in various crematoriums across the city. The work will cost over Rs 4 crore 24 lakhs and it will be assigned to Alfa Equipment.
In another decision, an additional medical gas pipeline network to be laid will cover extra 332 ICU beds, 1100 oxygen points, 672 compressed air-points and 471 vacuum points at AMC-run SVP hospital at a cost of over Rs 72 lakh 16 thousand.
Roads and building committee has also approved a proposal for assigning this work through quotation for speedy completion and allotting this work to government approved Archimedes (India) consultant private limited. DeshGujarat
