Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil’s daughter wins district panchayat by-poll

Gandhinagar: Gujarat State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President CR Patil’s daughter Dharti Nikhil Deore achieved victory in the election on Lamkani seat of Dhule Zilla Panchayat in Maharashtra. She was declared victorious in this today as BJP candidate. Polling for this seat was held yesterday on October 5. Dharti Deore was elected as Sarpanch of Boris village of Dhule district five years ago. She has completed her MBA.

Ahead of the election, in Boris village, a public felicitation programme was organized for ‘annasaheb’ CR Patil for becoming Gujarat BJP chief. Patil was felicitated in this function by APMC Dhule’s Dadasaheb Deore and Touruism minister of Maharashtra Jaykumarbhau Raval. Daughter’s victory in panchayat by-poll in Maharashtra is another good news for Patil, under whose leadership the State BJP yesterday won Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and majority of other local seats that went for by-polls across Gujarat.

Ahead of polling when she was asked how she will win when three forces – Shiv Sena, Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have fielded a joint candidate against her,  Dharti had replied ‘teen tighadi kaam bigadi’ and expressed confidence that BJP will only win and work for the development. Dharti as per the results out today defeated Shiv Sena candidate Minatai Patil (Shiv Sena – Congress – NCP common candidate) with 4,480 votes.

Dharti had given CR Patil’s photo in her posters at top place. Marathi news channels are flashing news regarding her candidature and victory and highlighting that she is ‘Khasdar’ CR Patil’s daughter. BJP has crossed the magic figure of 29 in Dhule Zilla Parishad elections.  DeshGujarat
