Huge chunk of heroin recovered from Zinzuda village

Rajkot: Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat Police and Special Operation Group of Morbi Police in a joint operation raided two houses in Zinzuda village near Navlakhi Port in Morbi district and recovered 120 kg stock of narcotics on Sunday night. Three persons have been held and drugs worth Rs. 600 crore of international value has been recovered in this operation, DeshGujarat

-Zinzuda is a small village located just two kms away from the sea near Amran in Morbi taluka. The village population is 1800 and most of the residents are Muslims and Koli Hindus.
– Narcotics was seized from one Shamsuddin Pirzada. He is originally from Khijadiya village of Babra taluka in Amreli district. His mother’s family resides in Zinzuda. Shamshuddin settled in Zinzuda just one and half year ago. Shamsuddin was previously nabbed in gambling offence.
– Two other accused nabbed namely Jabbar and Ghulam Bhagad are from Salaya and Jodiya respectively. All these locations are coastal.
– The arrested persons are Hussain alias Jabbar Haji Nurmohammad Rao (39), resident of Bus stand road, Main bazar, Jodiya (Jamnagar); Shamsuddin Hussainmiya Saiyed (37), resident of Zinzuda in Morbi and Ghulam Hussain Umar Bhagad, resident of Salaya in Devdhumi Dwarka district.

– Ghulam, Jabbar and Isa Rao from Jodiya had ordered narcotics from Pakistan based Zahid Bashir Baloch through coastal route and taken delivery in the last week of October this year from 23°28’100N and 67°40”00”E in the sea. They had concealed this consignment in coastal area of Dwarka district and later in Zinzuda village based Shamsuddin Saiyed’s house.
– Accused Isa Hussain Rao from Jodiya is uncle of another accused Mukhtar Hussain alias Jabbar. Isa is wanted.
– Accused Ghulam and Jabbar would visit Dubai frequently. They possibly came into contact with Pakistani drug mafias there.
– Pakistani drug mafia Zahid Baloch is wanted in year 2017 heroin consignment case by Department of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). The consignment delivery was discussed and finalized in Somali Canteen in United Arab Emirates. It was decided that the consignment would be delivered in African countries. However it was diverted to India.
– Accused Ghulam Bhagad was recently held in rioting offence during Muharram Tajiya procession in Salaya. Accused Muhtar Hussain alias Jabbar Jodiya is also a notorious smuggler with rich contacts with overseas cartels involved in drugs delivery. Jabbar was also held by Pakistan Marine Security Agency (PMSA) last year when his boat was “docked in Pakistan due to problem in engine of the boat’. He was questioned for three days by PMSA and Pakistani secret service agency ISI.
