Gandhinagar: Class 10 students with Maths Basic as their choice will now get admission in science stream in class 11 in ‘B’ group (biology, physics, chemistry), State Education minister Jitubhai Vaghani said today in an “important announcement that would affect lakhs of students.”

The education minister made this announcement exactly at the time when the process of form filing has started for students.

Vaghani said, the earlier provision of July exam for entry into groups A and AB in class – 11 for Maths basic students of class – 10 will continue. However Maths basic students of class – 10 will no more need to give July entry exam for admission in B group of class – 11 now onwards with a decision announced today.

He said around 10 lakh students appear in SSC exams every year, and the decision announced today is important as if affects lakhs of students. DeshGujarat
