AMC shares details of Rs. 235.17 crore Gandhi Ashram Precinct Development Project

Sabarmati: Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has today shared the official details of Gandhi Ashram Precinct Development Project, for which Rs. 235.17 crore budget was approved by the Standing Committee of AMC in its meeting today. Under the proposed project, Chandrabhaga channel passing next to the Ashram will be remodelled with 3 bridges, 2 wier and retaining wall. The existing ground level will be lifted to road level with filling works. The new roads around Gandhi Ashram will be developed with street furniture. Facilities such as water supply, drainage, storm water lines will be created for new roads with provision of pump-house. Street-light works will be implemented at Chandrabhaga stream and new main road. AMC will do these all works as depositary and therefore, funding for the same will come from the Central government via the State government.
