Covid pandemic: CM to hold review meeting with AMC officials, Health minister to hold briefing

Gandhinagar: Amid sharp rise of covid cases in the State, the Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is likely to hold a review meeting at Riverfront House in presence of the officials of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and higher officials of the State government. Preparedness at hospitals and micro containment zones are among the topics to be discussed in this meeting. In another development, the State health minister Rushikesh Patel is going to brief the media on the presence situation of covid pandemic in the State. Meanwhile the doctors who are associated with treatment of covid patients said the new Omicron variant cases are mostly asymptomatic or with mild symptoms. They are however kept at Omicron wards of hospitals as per the protocol so that they don’t infect others. On the other hand a press briefing has been scheduled to take place at 4.00 pm at national capital New Delhi on the actions taken, preparedness, and updates on COVID-19 so far as the central government department are concerned.
