MoS Railways shares graphical representation of Surat’s Bullet Train station

Surat: Minister of State for railways and textile Darshana Jardosh shared the pictures of the Surat Bullet Train Station resembling the shape of diamond. She stated in the tweet that the state-of-the-art multi-level station will have an external façade and interiors of the station resemble a sparkling diamond – the pride of Surat city.

The four bullet train stations of Surat, Bharuch, Vapi and Bilimora will be constructed till 2024. The building of Surat bullet station at Antroli will resemble the shape of diamond. The tiles to be installed inside the building will also resemble the shape of diamond. The station is being built at a cost of Rs 5.75 crore. The station will be at a distance of 3 kms from Delhi Mumbai highway. The bullet train will pass from Palsana highway. A depot of bullet train will be constructed besides the bullet train station. The four stations of Surat, Bharuch, Bilimora and Vapi on the 237-km main line, bridges on 24 rivers including Narmada and Tapi, and 30 flyover bridges will be constructed as part of the bullet train work between Vadodara to Vapi.

The building of Surat bullet train station will be a green building. The 80 percent lights of the building will operate with solar energy. It will have the facility of intermodal computer transport. It will also have amnesties of a sewage treatment plant and rainwater harvesting.

The pillars are installed in the 13-km area in Surat. The pillars are being installed in 5 km route every month, which will be increased to 10 km route every month. The platforms will be setup on the first and second floors and other floors will have shops and restaurants. The Surat bullet train station will be the first to be constructed in the entire project. The first run of the bullet train will be from there to Bilimora.

Total 12 stations will be constructed on the route of the bullet train from Ahmedabad to Mumbai at BKC, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand and Amdavad and Sabarmati. The station of Vapi will resemble the shape of a flowing river on the theme of Damanganga river. The Bilimora station will resemble the shape of a mangrove tree.
