Naresh Patel all set to join Congress, claims party insider

Rajkot: Religious-social organization Khodaldham Trust’s founder chairman Naresh Patel is going to join opposition Congress party in Gujarat, claims party insider. Rajkot based Congress leader Dr. Hemang Vasavada said Naresh Patel is all set to return to Congress and it’s a matter of time before he makes his decision public.
Party insiders claim that Naresh Patel had a meeting with Rahul Gandhi in national capital New Delhi along with election strategist Prashant Kishor. Naresh Patel held another meeting in Jaipur with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot along with Prashant Kishor.
Vasavada said, Naresh Patel could be made Chairman of the party’s campaign committee. Vasavada said elections strategist Prashant Kishor is also going to join Congress.
Meanwhile, Naresh Patel’s office has conveyed that Nareshbhai has not taken any decision on joining any party yet and the announcement on joining any party will be made at appropriate time. In another development, Prashant Kishor has conveyed his rebuttal to private news channel News18 over the news that he is going to join Congress party.
