Cricketer Kapil Dev becomes brand ambassador of Gujarat based Karnavati University

Gandhinagar: Karnavati University on Monday announced its long-term association with cricket legend, Mr. Kapil Dev. Karnavati University is a state private university based in Uvarsad, Gandhinagar. As part of the association, Mr. Kapil Dev will be the brand ambassador of the varsity and has also become a member of the Governing Board. The announcement was made ceremoniously at an event organised by Karnavati University in Ahmedabad.
Kapil Dev served as the Captain of the Indian Cricket Team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. In the process, he became the first Indian Cricket Captain to have steered the team to win the Cricket World Cup. He is in fact, the youngest captain (24 in 1983) to win the world cup for any team thus far.
Commenting on his association with the varsity, Mr. Ritesh Hada, President, Karnavati University, said, “We, at Karnavati University, are proud to be associated with Mr. Kapil Dev, by having him as the Brand Ambassador for the varsity. We welcome the cricket legend to the KU family. At Karnavati University, it is our constant endeavour to complement university education with real-life experiences, real-world knowledge, field exposure and multidisciplinary learning to encourage students to strive for excellence. Our association with Mr. Kapil Dev will indeed reassert this commitment.”

In the longer run, we aim to take Karnavati University to the national map,” Mr. Hada further added.
