Former MoS, leading Kutchi and BJP leader Tarachand Chheda passes away

Gandhinagar: Former minister of the state and Kutch BJP leader Tarachandbhai Jagshibhai Chheda passed away today after prolonged illness. Chheda was hosptalized for past few days at private hospital in Ahmedabad for over amonth. A day ago, he had decided to go for fast. He adopted Anashan Vrat as per Jain rituals after sickness for a month. He was taken to his native in Kutch a day ago, where he passed away today.

Tarachandbhai Chheda, born on 14th July, 1951, served as a state minister for Cottage Industries, Salt Industries and Cow Protection from 22nd May 2014 to August 2016. He was MLA representing Mandvi from December 2012 to December 2017. He was also MLA from 1990 to 1995 representing Abdasa.

Tarachandbhai had informed his family members about his will to adopt Anashan vrat. His family members accepted his will and decided to bring him back to Bhuj with the ventilator. His brother Girishbhai Chheda informed that Tarachandbhai Chheda had shared about his wish to perform his last rites in his native Kandagara after his death. DeshGujarat
