3 lakh liter pure drinking water to be made available at Kutch border

Bhuj: Total 3 lakh liters of drinking water will be available daily for the jawans of the Border Security Force (BSF) at Kutch border after two new RO plants become operational.
An RO plant of 1 lakh liter daily capacity is already functioning at present for the last one year. The water with 10 thousand TDS value was sourced after making a borewell at Genda post one year ago and an RO plant of 1 lakh liter capacity was installed there. Another 2 plants of 1 lakh liter daily capacity each will start operating within a month.
The plants are to be made operational by the water supply department of the State government in cooperation with a private company. Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) will establish plants of 1 lakh liter capacity each at Pillar 1067 Khardoi and 1076. DeshGujarat
