Homes to be surveyed by drones for handing out property cards in Gandhinagar
May 24, 2022
Gandhinagar: Property cards will be issued to all property owners of urban as well as rural areas under the central government’s ‘Swamitva Yojana’ for which the property will be first marked with limestone and then a team from Delhi will carry out a survey of the property using a drone. Drones measure the area of the property with greater accuracy.
Gandhinagar is the first to be selected by the central government to implement this scheme as a pilot project. The work in 18 villages of Gandhinagar has already been completed.
The scheme will be implemented in all districts with the help of the respective zilla panchayat. The entire process for the preparation of the property card will be overseen by office of the Superintendent of Land Records. But because all residential properties are being covered under this scheme, the work of marking every house in limestone has been allotted to the zilla panchayat. DeshGujarat
