Govt to acquire land in 1,200 survey numbers of Mehsana district for Tharad-Ahmedabad expressway

Mehsana: The state government has begun the process of acquiring 448 hectares land for the Tharad-Ahmedabad expressway in over 1200 survey numbers in the entire stretch starting from Dabhi village in Unjha taluka and Charadu village in Mehsana taluka.
The expressway is being developed under the Bharatmala Project and will pass through the villages of Unjha, Mehsana and Visnagar talukas.
The expressway, once completed, will be 1,200 meters wide and 3 metres high. A proposed notification for the land acquisition has been sent to the Union Ministry of Roads and Transport. After the publication of the notification, DILR will begin work on measurements. Once the measurement work is completed, the process for the compensation of the land that is acquired will get underway. DeshGujarat.
