PM Modi to dedicate and lay foundation stone for Rs. 16,369 crore railway projects during Gujarat visit

Gandhinagar: State government spokesperson minister Jitu Vaghani today in his weekly briefing informed that PM Modi will dedicate and lay foundation stones of 18 different railway projects worth Rs 16,369 crore for Gujarat in a function at Vadodara on June 18.

Vaghani said the Prime Minister will dedicate Palanpur-Madar dedicated freight corridor and flag off Ahmedabad-Botad passenger train. The foundation stone laying of redevelopment of Surat, Udhna, Somnath and Sabarmati stations will be done by him. He will also allot 8907 accommodations under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Vaghani further informed: PM Modi will be on a visit to Gujarat on 17th and 18th June. He will stay at Raj Bhawan at night on 17th June. He will visit Mahakali Mandir in Pavagadh at 9.15 am on 18th June- Saturday. He will then visit Virasat Van near Pavagadh at 11.30 am. “Gujarat Gaurav Abhiyan” program will be held at 12.30 noon at leprosy ground in Vadodara in the presence of PM Modi on 18th June. Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel will also remain present in the program.

PM Modi will also launch expansion of the Poshan Sudha Yojna during the Vadodara function. The provision of Rs 118 crore has been made for the year 2022-23 for it. The Government of Gujarat had launched Poshan Sudha Yojana in year 2017-18 on experimental basis. Under this scheme, the pregnant and feeding women who are registered at Anganwadi are given one time full meal along with iron and calcium pills and required health and nutrition related education. The scheme was launched on experimental basis in tribal populated districts of Dahod, Valsad, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur and Narmada at 10 ICDS units for spot feeding. As the scheme has given good results, it is now being expanded to all tribal units in entire tribal populated areas of the State. A mobile application has also been launched for effective monitoring and review of the scheme. Thanks to this scheme, the infant mortality rate will be reduced. DeshGujarat
