SPG arrives in Vadodara city, take up positions at Leprosy Ground

Vadodara: The police are in the final stages of preparations to put in place an impregnable security cover for the impending visit of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s Vadodara visit on June 18.
The SPG commandos responsible for keeping a watch around the PM have already taken up their positions at the Leprosy Ground, the venue for the PM’s public meeting.
The biggest problem of traffic during the PM’s visit has been overcome with the administration allocating separate plots for VVIPs, VIPs, City, Taluka and district categories and making different parking arrangements for ST buses, city buses, and cars.
The outline for the police bandobast has been prepared under the supervision of CP Shamsher Singh.
There are 7 IPS, 15 Dy SPs, 45 PIs, 100 PSIs, and 250 police personnel in Vadodara city. Besides these, 17 IPS including 4 probationers, 75 PIs, 125 PSIs, 2,600 male and female police, 500 home guards and 3 companies of the State Reserve Police (SRP) from outside have also arrived in Vadodara city to ensure security during the PM’s visit.
