Vadodara decorated with lights, 7 large domes, parking for thousands of vehicles set up for PM Modi’s function, fireworks planned

Vadodara: To mark the occasion of Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi’s visit to the city, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has decorated a total of 30 sites of the city with lighting. The light and sound show is organised at Khanderao market building. The lighting are installed at Champaner Darwaja, Gendi Gate Darwaja, Pani Gate Darwaja, Kirti Mandir, Raopura tower, Sayajigunj tower, Arvind Ashram, Gandhi Nagar Gruh, CCC center, Akota- Dandia Bajar bridge, Amitnagar bridge, Vadi tower, L&T circle and so on. The lights will be lightened from 8 pm to 12 am for 3 days from 16th to 18th June.
Total 7 large domes are set-up across 17 lakh square meter area at Ajwa road at Leprosy Ground. Total 80 LED screens and 4500 fans are installed there. Total 500 workers worked for the last 10 days preparing the domes. PM Modi will be on a visit to Baroda for the first time after 2017. Around 5 lakh people are estimated in the program at Leprosy ground. The 7 domes are made with German technology. PM Modi will reach the stage in an open jeep by passing among the people in all the domes.
The bandobast will be on the route from Vadodara airport to sardar estate leprosy ground. Over 150 police officials, to be on frontline in the bandobast, will serve with body cameras attached to them. The body cameras, of 4 inches size, will do live video recording. One dozen cranes are also arranged to resolve traffic due to the possibility of rain.
PM Modi will reach Vadodara airport at 12.30 noon after departing from Shaktipith Pavagadh. He will reach Leprosy Ground by road from the airport. The city police will for the first time use body cameras during PM’s visit. As many as 150 police men will have body cameras fitted on their uniform.
MLA of Manjalpur Yogesh Patel has planned fire works at 9 pm on June 18 with citizens to celebrate the inauguration of Sindhrot water supply project at nine places including Maneja char rasta, Makarpura ST depot, Manaljpur based Eva mall, Alvanaka GIDC road, Manjalpur Tulsidham char rasta, Tarsali vegetable market char rasta, SOma talav char rasta and Manjalpur gam. Sweets will also be offered to citizens during the celebration. Patel is going to celebrate the inauguration of Shindhrot project as it will solve the problem of water supply in South Zone of the city.
In another development several markets including Hathikhana market will remain closed during PM Modi’s function voluntarily as the traders will attend the function.
Parking lots meanwhile at PM Modi’s function venue are increased to 51. In total the arrangements are done for parking of 16677 cars, 9490 buses and 2200 two-wheelers.
PMO has specially invited 20 people by call to remain present at Leprosy ground at 12.15 pm on Saturday to meet PM Modi.
PM Modi will have one to one conversation with each of the 20 persons. The Guinness Book World Record Holder Nevil Wadia is specially invited in the program. Nevil Wadia, belonging from Parsi community, had made the world record in Guiness Book by scoring 105 runs at Sitabag ground in Manjalpur in 2009 at the age of 64 years. He had met PM Modi during his tenure as Gujarat CM.
Total 500 females from various universities across the city will participate in the welcome ceremony of PM Modi and perform Garba. The females from The MS University of Baroda, Parul University, Navrachana University, Sigma college private schools and professional Garba group will perform Garba.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has instructed the artists across the city to make rangoli in the malls of the city. The 3 artists from the city Divyesh Machhi, Jyotiben Machhi, and Krupaliben Dave made 32*24 feet rangoli of PM Modi within 3 hours.

8.10 am he will leave from Gandhinagar Sachivalaya to Pavagadh by helicopter
9.00 am arrival at Vada Talav in Pavagadh
9.15 am visit to Kalika temple in Pavagadh
11.20 am He will leave for Virasat vann from Machi in Pavagadh
11.30 am arrival at Virasat vann
12.00 noon Departure from Pavagadh Vada Talav to Vadodara airport
12.20 pm Arrival at Vadodara airport
12.30 pm By road from Airport to Leprosy ground
2.05 pm from ground to Vadodara airport
2.15 pm Departure to national capital Delhi from Vadodara airport
