Junagadh: Junagadh district has achieved the 1st position in the state as per the Performance Grading Index (PGI) report released by the Department of Schools, Education and Literacy under the Department of Education, Government of India.

Junagadh bagged 447 points out of 600, the highest for any district in the state. It also ranked 19th out of all 650 districts nationwide.

The Performance Grading Index is based on specific indicators and domains such as Learning Management, Effective Classroom Transaction, Infrastructure, Facilities, Student Entitlements, School Safety and Child Protection, Digital Learning and Governance Processes.

Junagadh bagged the top spot by excelling in many domains of the report such as Management, Learning Ecosystem, Budget Utility, Establishing an efficient system for Cluster Resource Centre Coordinator (CRCC), Attendance Monitoring System, and Leadership Development in Schools.
