Vadodara’s MSU to offer BA, MA programs in Hindu Studies

Vadodara: The Arts faculty of Vadodara’s MS University will be the first in the country to start offering BA and MA programs in Hindu Studies from this academic year. The programs will be offered on a self-finance basis and will have an intake of 60-60 students each.
The course aims to educate students about Hindu culture and philosophy. The BA (Hindu Studies) course will be of three years duration and anybody who has cleared Class 12 exams will be eligible to enroll in the course.
The MA (Hindu Studies) course will be of two years duration and graduates will be eligible to enroll for it. Hindu religious texts such as Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayan, Mahabharat, and the Bhagwat Gita will be taught as subjects in these new courses.
Drama, Indian Art, and the principles of Jain and Buddhist traditions have also been included as subjects in the course for these new academic programs at MS University’s Faculty of Arts. DeshGujarat
