Ahmedabad : Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) has charged two companies of Vapi with a penalty of Rs 60 lakh for the usage of spent acid without permission.

As per the rules of GPCB, the units using and selling spent acid are supposed to take approval as per rules-9. The two companies Creative textile mills and Kunder chemicals didn’t take the approval. GPCB punished Creative textiles with a penalty of Rs 35 lakh and Kunder chemicals with a penalty of Rs 25 lakh.

The VS enterprise company of Ahmedabad allegedly did improper disposal of ammonium sulfur produced by A1 Thelo Color company. So, A1 Thelo colour company is given a closure notice with an effect of 15 days.
