Water treatment Plant in Jetpur to be operational by month end

Jetpur: The work of establishing a caustic recovery, reuse, and purification plant at Jetpur in Rajkot district at a cost of Rs 150 crore is about to be completed.
Jetpur town in Rajkot district, famous for the colorful cotton sari industry, faced the issue of polluted and chemical mixed water released from the dyeing units. As per the orders of the National Green Tribunal and Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB), the release of chemical mixed water from all the dyeing units of the dying association in the gutters was stopped. Jetpur dyeing association, under the leadership of Jayantibhai Ramoloya, has given a contract of establishing a water purification plant in Jetpur to Aquarius H2O Dynamics Pvt Ltd in Ahmedabad.
The plant will help for recovery and reuse of the polluted water released by dyeing units in Jetpur. The plant is of 1000 Kilo-liter capacity. The plant is likely to start operating by the end of this month. The polluted water released from all the units of the sari industry will be collected at a common site. It will be purified for reuse in the plant.
