Vadodara: Congress leader Bharatsinh Solanki today in Vadodara demanded that Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot should be made the national president of the Congress party.

Solanki said, “Ashok Ji is our very senior leader, and Rahul Ji wants someone else other than Gandhi family members to be Congress president. As much as we would like Rahul Gandhi to take over again as our president, if someone else from outside the family is to be chosen then Ashok Gehlot is the right choice as he is a big Gandhian who adheres to Congress’s ideology.”

So if Ashok Gehlot becomes party president, we wish that Rahul Gandhi will win the 2024 election under his leadership and become Prime Minister, he added.

Answering the media on why should Gehlot be the national president, Bharatsinh said “Out of all the senior leaders in our party, Ashok Ji is a popular, simple, respected name who keeps everyone together.”
