Gujarati actress Happy Bhavsar passes away

Ahmedabad: Happy Bhasvar, a 45-year old actress of Gujarati films, theater and TV passed away today after prolong illness of lung cancer. She is survived by her two-month old twins daughters Krishna and Krishnavi. Happy’s husband Maulik Nayak is also Gujarati film actor. Happy had earned fame with her film Montu ni Bittu, a Doordarshan TV serial Shaymli and super hit play Prit Piyu and Panetar. Resident of Ahmedabad, Happy was a child of artist parents. She had started working as a child artist with TV serial Gunehgar and Tankha. Her interest in acting further grew as she worked with Saumya Joshi in HK Arts college based theater activity. She had lastly worked in Gujarati movies – Premji, Montu ni Bittu and Mahotu.
