PM Modi arrives at SVPI airport for two days visit to home-state Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi arrived at Sardar Patel International Airport at 2:50 PM today on his two days visit to home-state Gujarat.

Governor of Gujarat, Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat BJP chief C R Patil, Minister of State for home affairs Harsh Sanghvi, among others were present at the SVPI airport to receive the Prime Minister.

According to the sources, PM Modi held meetings with Gujarat Govt and BJP leadership at the GUJSAIL building at Airport. He will be leaving for Sabarmati Riverfront (West) to take part in the Khadi Utsav which is being organized at the Sabarmati Riverfront. This program celebrates India’s vibrant and diverse Khadi tradition. Here he will also dedicate the Atal foot river bridge on the Sabarmati river later from there.

After reaching PM tweeted “Reached Ahmedabad. Always a delight to be among the people of Gujarat. The first program today will be at the Sabarmati Riverfront. Looking forward to Khadi Utsav!”

Tomorrow PM Modi will inaugurate Smriti Van Memorial in Bhuj at about 10 AM. Thereafter, at around 12 noon, Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various developmental projects in Bhuj. At around 5 PM, Prime Minister will address a program in Gandhinagar, marking the commemoration of 40 years of Suzuki in India.
