Amit Shah inaugurates four Anupam Smart Schools of AMC in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Union Home Affairs minister Amitbhai Shah today inaugurated four newly developed Anupam smart schools of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in his Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency readied at a cost of Rs. 9.54 crore. The Chief Minister of the State, Bhupendra Patel in this function informed that AMC has set up 20 such smart schools so far, while 63 more are to be readied by the end of this year. The Chief Minister further informed that the target is to benefit 1.50 lakh poor and middle class students of AMC schools in a year. Shah briefely visited a smart school class-room after inauguration of four Anupam Smart School. Out of 83 Anupam Smart Schools by AMC, 28 are in Gandhinagar constituency of Shah.

Amit Shah in his address spoke in detail about the entire spectrum of primary schools reform that took place in Gujarat under the leadership of Narendrabhai Modi. He mentioned school enrollment drive (Shala Praveshotsav), Gunotsav, teachers’ training, smart schools, reduction in school drop-out ratio and new education policy by the Centre. Shah spoke about the law and order situation during Congress rule in Gujarat way back in 1980s and 1990s and reminded how even Rath Yatra would feel obstruction in those years and mafias had taken over the hold on entire town and district. He also recalled the year in which a curfew was imposed for 200 days. Shah asked youths to ask their elderly about what was the situation of Gujarat during Congress rule and compare it with the present BJP rule.
