No alliance with AAP : BTP chief Chhotu Vasava

Chhota Udepur: Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) founder president and Gujarat legislator Chhotubhai Vasava today said his party has made no alliance with Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party(AAP).

When asked whether AAP – BTP alliance has broken, Chhotubhai Vasava stated – “We have not made any alliance with them and therefore there’s no question of breaking of alliance.”

Vasava further stated – “Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been the party sent by Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) to break our organization. We have not made any alliance and we are not going to make alliance in future with them.”

Vasava in reference to AAP said – “Topi walas (AAP leaders and cadres) want to kick out Paghdi wala (tribals).”

On possibilities of future alliance making by BTP, Vasava said – “We will see and take decision”.

It must be noted that Kejriwal had visited Bharuch to meet Vasava and both leaders had organized and addressed a joint public meeting in Eastern-Central Gujarat’s tribal belt. While AAP had proclaimed alliance, the BTP leaders were mum. Mahesh Vasava, an MLA son of Chhotubhai had also addressed AAP public meeting in Chhota Udepur recently alongside Kejriwal. AAP leaders in Gujarat have still recently claimed that the alliance is intact. However the BTP has today clearly stated that there was no alliance at all with AAP.

Chhotu Vasava led BTP has two seats in the State assembly. Father – son Chhotu Vasava and Mahesh Vasava are MLA from BTP. DeshGujarat
