We are common man, We travel by chartered plane: BJP on Kejriwal’s Gujarat journey

Gandhinagar: Arvind Kejriwal again landed himself in a controversy when BJP leaders tweeted his picture with an air hostess claiming that the Aam Aadmi Party Chief travelled on a chartered plane to reach Gujarat for his two-day visit earlier this week. It’s worth noting that Kejriwal stays in the most luxurious Taj Hotel when he visits Ahmedabad.

The picture was shared by Delhi BJP spokesperson Harsh Khurana who wrote “We are common man. We travel by chartered plane only.”

Senior Journalist Kanchan Gupta also tweeted, “This Arvind Kejriwal began life in politics with Rs 500 in his pocket, frayed baggy pants, oversized shirt and a muffler that had not been washed since his IIT days. 8 years on… Taxpayers money is funneled to media to buy silence as he jets around in style. #LiquorScam

Later Manjinder Singh Sirsa, former Delhi MLA tweeted that “It’s no more funny to see Arvind Kejriwal acting like a con artist. His daily “Drama” of projecting himself as Aam Aadmi or eating with Auto drivers or dressing up casually is a FARCE! In reality – his Multi-millionaire friends are giving him ample monetary & in-kind benefits”

Sirsa also took a dig in another tweet saying, “From the statement that ‘I will not take a bungalow. I will not take a government car,’ today this common man is travelling from charter plane at the cost of ₹10 lakhs. He is a U-Turn CM.”

Earlier also Kejriwal had gone through same roads when in 2014 When he boarded a private jet from Jaipur to Delhi to attend a media conclave on March 7th, even as he questioning then Gujarat CM Modi and Rahul Gandhi.

That time Kejriwal dodged the allegation by saying that no other plane was available, So he took the chartered plane. India Today group had invited him and they bore the cost of the chartered plane.

But this time no refutation has come from Aam Aadmi Party regarding this picture.
