Gujarat CM worships Narmada waters as Sardar Sarovar Dam reaches its full capacity

Narmada: The water level at Sardar Sarovar Dam has reached the complete level at 138.68 meters. It has resulted in water storage of 4.73 million acre-feet, which means 5.76 lakh crore litres of water in the dam.
Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel worshiped Narmada water on this occasion at Ektanagar on Thursday. Sardar Sarovar dam has reached the complete level for the third time after 2019 and 2020. CM Patel joined Narmada Mahotsav held in Ektanagar and performed pooja of Narmada water.

The population of over 4 crore get Narmada water as drinking water in a total of 9104 villages, 169 cities and 7 municipal corporations. The works of 63483 km length of canals are completed, which offer irrigation facility to 16.99 lakh hectares of land in 78 taluka of 17 districts of the state including Kutch.
