Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is planning to charge parking fees for parking on Sindhu Bhavan Road.

Aiming to earn Rs. 21 Lakhs, the civic body has stated in a tender that for parking two-wheelers the public will be charged ₹ 5 per hour and for four-wheelers, people will have to pay ₹15 for the first two hours of parking time.

The tender stated that the firm will have the rights on space for 108 two-wheelers and 428 four-wheelers on an area of 3.25 km. The bids for this will be opened on October 7. The base price is kept at Rs. 21.29 Lakhs and the highest bidder will be given the job for three years, as stated in the tender.

Five more tenders were also issued by the civic body to pay for parking on Bhuyangdev to Vivekanand Circle in Memnagar, the road from Shahwadi Canal to Vasna Party Plot, the road connecting Chirag Motors to Madalpur Underpass, the road from Navrang Circle to Dadasaheb Na Pagla Crossroads and the road from Gujarat Vidyapith to AMC swimming pool.
