Indian Navy seizes drugs worth ₹ 1000 crore off Gujarat Coast

Porbander: Indian navy seized drugs from a boat in the biggest-ever operation carried out by the force at sea. After an intelligence input, the Navy intercepted a boat carrying a huge quantity of drugs from Iran. 200 kg of drugs worth around Rs 1,000 crore have been seized from the boat.
The Naval team intercepted and held the boat at about 60 nautical miles from the sea coast and is bringing it back to Porbandar Port. The boat left Iran and had 4 people on board at the time. After that, 2 more people boarded it from Pakistan. The Navy has captured 6 people with this huge quantity of drugs and further action is being taken.
After doing further interrogation and formalities the case will be handed over to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
In another operation, the Indian Navy and the NCB seized narcotics worth around Rs 6 crore from a posh area of Jamnagar. One person has been arrested in this case. Besides, 3 other people have also been arrested during a raid at a narcotics manufacturing unit in Mumbai. Further Investigation is still going on in the case.
