New Delhi: Union Minister Smriti Irani escalated her attack on the Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal regarding AAP’s Gujarat chief Gopal Italia can be seen insulting PM’s mother Hiraba in a video. Smriti said that people of the Gujarat will make AAP pay electorally for abusing Hiraba.

Attacking Kejriwal, the union minister said, “I want to tell Arvind Kejriwal that he and his party will face political loss in Gujarat. You have not just insulted the mother of Pradhan sevek but you have insulted a 100 years old Gujarati women because she gave birth to Narendra Modi who is thwarting your (Kejriwal’s) political designs.”

Smriti said in a press conference that, “If you think abusing the prime minister’s mother will help you gain political popularity in Gujarat, you are mistaken. And for that mistake, Gujarat and Gujaratis will make you pay the political price in the forthcoming elections.”

With Italia claiming that the BJP is targeting him as he is from the Patidar community, Irani said he was hiding behind new excuses and this showed that the AAP would play community and gender cards for its political ends.

Earlier in another video, Italia was purportedly heard urging women not to go to temples, alleging that religious places were dens of exploitation of women.
