Vulturism over Morbi Calamity : Congress Spreads Fake News
November 01, 2022
Gandhinagar: While Gujarat mourns the death of 135 people in the Morbi Bridge Collapse accident, Congress Party is doing false propaganda and petty politics on this sensitive issue. Various twitter handles of the Congress party have shared a photo of PM Modi with a man greeting him and claiming that his company got the tender to repair the Morbi bridge.
However, the man in the image is Raghavji Patel, Gujarat Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry.
Odisha and Rajasthan Youth Congress shared the image to claim that it shows Modi with industrialist Odhav Patel, whose company had taken the contract. However, the image shows Modi with Raghavji Patel, a minister of agriculture, animal husbandry and cow breeding in Gujarat.
Even after being called out for this, the Twitter handle has not taken the tweet down.

The man who got the contract to repair and maintain the #MorbiBridge is also a Modi crony…
Only those who pay upfront via election bonds and cash, get business from the Modi Govt. The going rate is reportedly 40%.

Similarly members of Congress party and many other accounts are spreading false information and not taking the post down even after being fact checked. All this false propaganda came just a day after congress leader Rahul Gandhi said he will not politicize the issue but it seems his party worker are of the opposite view
