Explosion causes damage to Himmatnagar-Udaipur Rly tracks; Train Halted

Udaipur: One train was terminated after the locals reported the explosion on the newly inaugurated Ahmedabad – Udaipur railway track this morning.
An official from North Western Railways said, ” Today morning, we received info that there was an attempt to damage the railway track between Zawar-Kharwa Chanda in the Udaipur-Himmatnagar section under Ajmer division using a detonator. One train short-terminated. Probe underway”
The train was halted at the Dungarpur station after the information was received.
ATS, local police and FSL are conducting an investigation into the incident where an attempt was made to damage the railway track between Zawar-Kharwa Chanda in the Udaipur-Himmatnagar section today informed the ATS officials.
Police have found explosives on the track and efforts are being made to identify the accused, SHO Jawar Mines told the press.

The train from Udaipur – Asarwa was inaugurated by PM Modi on 31st October from Aswar Rly Station in Ahmedabad.
