Another incident of stray dog attack on child occurs in Surat

Surat: A 2-year-old girl child was attacked by a stray dog at Khajod in Surat. The girl child had 40 bite marks on her body. Her two-inch skin was removed by a dog. The victim girl was taken to New Civil Hospital in serious condition. Her medical treatment is ongoing.
According to the details available, a migrant laborer from West Bengal, Ravi Kahar lives with his wife, four years old son, and two years old daughter in the labor colony of Diamond Bourse. A stray dog attacked Ravi’s two years old girl child Marshila and caused a serious head injury. Marshila’s four-inch skin from her head was removed by the dog.
Meanwhile, it has come to notice that during the first 15 days of the ongoing month of February, 477 cases of dog bites are reported in the New Civil Hospital, among which 22 were serious cases. In Civil hospital, 32 cases were while in SMIMER hospital 265 cases of dog bites are reported in 15 days of February.
Recently a number of incidents of stray dogs attacking children are reported from Surat and elsewhere in Gujarat. DeshGujarat
