ACB Gujarat nabs contracted Municipal Engineer in bribery case of Rs. 4000

Gandhinagar: The Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed the municipal engineer of Dahegam municipality in Gandhinagar in a bribery case of Rs. 4000.
The complainant received an aid of Rs. 3.50 lakh from the government to build a house in an urban area in his wife’s name under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna. He had filled a form to receive the aid three years ago. After filling the form, he received Rs. 2,30,000 in installments, and Rs. 1,20,000 was pending.
The complainant contacted the accused, Hirenbhai Patel, to get the pending amount. The accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 4000 from him.
The complainant contacted the ACB as he was not willing to pay the bribe. The accused was found taking a bribe of Rs. 4000 from the complainant during a trap executed by the ACB. The accused has been detained. DeshGujarat
